Contact Tippecanoe County Veterans Service Officer Randy Fairchild. (765) 742-1796. He is trying to get a special award to them. They will receive the Silver Star award. Silver Star Families of America is giving US service members and veterans a certificate and a special banner. Fairchild said men and women will be recognized at the Memorial Day ceremonies at Memorial Island after the city's annual Memorial Day parade (starts at noon, May26th) .
