The hunt is on! Mushrooms are popping up in woods in the area. These delectables were found in some woods in Fountain county last weekend (exactly where--sorry. sworn to secrecy). My son enjoyed finding them. But he was so excited he trampled a few hiding under the leaves. I have many fond memories of traipsing through the woods with my dad in search of morels. My mom always cooked them in eggs and crushed saltine crackers. They are also good sauteed on a steak!
