Taste of Tippecanoe

This year's Taste of Tippecanoe may be one for the record books. People were waiting to get in before the gates opened at 4:00p.m. Saturday. The streets filled quickly with people enjoying food from nearly 40 different restaurants and music from seven different stages. WLFI set up our mobile news operation on Main Street near Second Street. Our engineering and production staff did a great job of setting up all the equipment.

We did an hour long newscast from the Taste. We had reporters in West Lafayette with information on the family area and the gospel stage. On the Lafayette side, Niccole and Jeff were up on the stage, while Mike Prangley, Mike Cleff, Renetta DuBose and I were along Main Street.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. The food and music were great. My son loved the fireworks and the glow-in-the dark toys.
